The Monmouth & Ocean Career Firefighters Association proudly represents the career firefighters and fire officers serving across both Monmouth and Ocean Counties. Our members are on the job 24 hours a day, 365 days a year—committed to our mission and to the communities we serve.

Our local includes members from Millstone Township, Upper Freehold Township, Neptune Township, Howell Township, and Jackson Township—working together under one banner to protect lives, property, and each other.

Our Mission Statement

The mission of the Monmouth& Ocean County Career Firefighters & Fire Officers Association IAFF Local 3874 is to support our fire and emergency services personnel so that they may provide the highest quality fire, rescue, and emergency medical service to the citizens of Monmouth & Ocean County and the surrounding
communities.

Meet the members

Behind every call for help is a team of highly trained, passionate professionals; your neighbors, friends, and family members who have chosen a life of service. Our association is made up of individuals from all walks of life, each bringing their own experience and perspective to the fire service. Some have decades of experience; others are just beginning their journey, but all share a commitment to protecting our communities.

Our members are more than just firefighters, they are mentors, coaches, volunteers, and leaders. Whether teaching fire safety at local schools, organizing community fundraisers, or providing support to families in need, our team is dedicated to making a positive impact both on and off duty.

What unites us is a strong sense of brotherhood and sisterhood, forged through shared challenges and triumphs. We support each other through every shift, celebrate each other’s successes, and stand together in times of need. This bond extends to the communities we serve, inspiring us to go above and beyond every day.

The International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) is a labor union representing paid full-time firefighters and emergency medical services personnel in the United States.
