The mission of the Monmouth& Ocean County Career Firefighters & Fire Officers Association IAFF Local 3874 is to support our fire and emergency services personnel so that they may provide the highest quality fire, rescue, and emergency medical service to the citizens of Monmouth & Ocean County and the surrounding
communities.
A Unified Front
Historically, several groups of career firefighters across Monmouth and Ocean Counties were represented by individual locals of the International Association of Fire Fighters. In a shared effort to strengthen our commitment to labor protection, public education, and firefighter health and safety, these previously independent IAFF locals have officially merged into IAFF Local 3874— now known as the Monmouth & Ocean
Career Firefighters Association.
who we represent
Although IAFF 3874 has proudly represented career firefighters since 1989, this merger represents a rebirth and rebranding of our union. As of its completion, lAFF Local 3874 now includes the firefighters and fire officers formerly represented by:
- IAFF Local 2691 - The Neptune Township Uniformed Firefighters
- IAFF Local 4388 - The Millstone Township Uniformed Firefighters
- IAFF Local 4306 - The Upper Freehold Township Professional Firefighters
As well as the members it already served in:
- Howell Township - Firefighters & Fire Officers
- Jackson Township - Fire Officer
